Native Apps
Executables (64-bit and 32-bit) for Windows and (64-bit) for Macintosh computers are available for all of our older projects (NAAP, ClassAction, & Ranking Tasks). The appropriate package for your (or your student's) computer system must be downloaded and installed locally. Note that these are actual applications that run in your native OS and their longevity depends only upon your OS. There is no similar viable solution for Chromebooks.
Note that every simulation available in the past on this site is contained in either the ClassAction or NAAP Labs native app. (In ClassAction look under the Animations tab.) The following guide to content is provided to assist you in navigating. Student guides and demonstration guides can be found on the NAAP Resources page.

Information on Running a Native App from a Thumbdrive
It is possible to run a Native App off of a thumbdrive (USB flashdrive). This procedure is unlikely to work in all circumstances (but certainly works in many).
For Windows
- Install the program on one machine.
- Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\AstroUNL" and copy the program folder (e.g. "ClassAction") to the thumb drive.
- The program can be run from the thumb drive on another Windows computer. The user would double-click the application inside the program folder (the file that has an icon).
For Macintosh
- From the Finder open up your Applications folder and select the Native App (e.g. NAAP Labs) and then drag it to the USB key which is listed as one of the locations in the Finder.
- Open the flash drive from Finder and double click on the Native App. You can now use the application (e.g. NAAP Labs) without installing it while the USB key is in use (or you can drag the Native App from the flash drive in Finder to the Applications folder and it will now be installed on your machine and can use used without the USB key.)
Troubleshooting Tip
When we find a native app resource that is "misbehaving", it is almost always after resizing the window. For some reason, Adobe Air loses window/coordinate information. You should close it and try again without resizing (although resizing may work the next time).
