For my Honors Project in Astronomy 103H, I decided to do a project that was math-based, since that is what I am interested in. So, with suggestions from Dr. Lee, my project was to complete and evaluate the Scale Height Lab that is projected for upper-level astronomy courses. My goal was to completely evaluate the background pages, student guide, simulators, and make suggestions of how to incorporate Pluto into this lab. With guidance from Dr. Lee, I completed this calculations-based lab and wrote suggestions on how to fine-tune the lab. The student guide was written with mostly calculations rather than conceptual questions. After completing the lab, I wrote suggestions on how to simplify this and make it more conceptual and incorporate Pluto into different simulators.
