Teacher Training with Astronomy Curriculum

Project Description:
Dominic was asked to master the astronomy curriculum known as Kinesthetic Astronomy. He prepared a short presentation on the goals of the curriculum and then led teachers at the October 2011 UNL Astronomy Education (the program is available here). Dominic (white shirt, far left) can be seen leading the teachers below. The soccer ball at center is the sun and teachers are pretending they are Earth and it is midnight. The laminated paper on the ground in the foreground is one of four solstice/equinox markers.
